Cathayana

Min Chiu and her sister-in-law Sharon Wang create exquisite hand-pleated and dyed silk scarves and shawls under the Cathayana brand. Their shibori designs are inspired by nature and use an ancient Japanese resist-dyeing technique. Each piece is hand-dyed, pleated, color discharged, painted, and hemmed one at a time.
