Diane Katz
Diane Katz started designing, hand-dyeing, and hand-painting beautiful silk garments in the 1990s after many years fashioning apparel lines for major brands. Her career began as Eddie Bauer's first non-down-insulated clothing designer in Seattle, near Mercer Island where she was raised. Other lines include White Stag, Reebok, and Nike. At Nike, she originated the Air Jordan clothing line for Michael Jordan. Her whimsical jackets, kimonos, and tunics are lightweight, with many featuring patchwork details combined with shibori dyeing and hand-painting on lightweight organza or dupioni silk.
