According to Tatiana, this jacket is a true work of fiber art and a great example of her work, combining many different techniques from hand-painting to hand distressing, appliqué and more. It is medium weight, not weightless, due to many layer-on-top-of-layer pieces attached to the base, and feels very comfortable when on. The base is long-staple Egyptian cotton, while the hundreds of layers on top are made of silk, cotton, linen and other fibers, even some netting. Truly marvelous to touch and observe in person, it has a straight-down design but can be slightly fitted upon request if necessary. The colors are reminiscent of the ocean, hence the title. The jacket has a button closure and a small pocket on snaps on the bottom. Pure fun and real art you can wear. Washable, as almost all of the creations of the artist. Very brief cold water hand wash, a few drops of mild detergent, always separately, spin in washer and dry on medium, or air dry and finish in dryer to soften. Also can be dry cleaned by mild methods, or dry cleaned in dryer at home with a store-bought kit. Do not use stain removers, spot treaters or bleach pens.
